Our brief was to design a substantial detached dwelling to serve the modern lifestyle of a young family on the site of an existing dwelling in the greenbelt near Over Peover, Cheshire.

The existing dwelling on the site, although substantial, had been subject to numerous additions and amendments and required significant changes to achieve the same outcome provided by our proposals for the replacement dwelling. Part of the clients brief was to realise a modern home that incorporated traditional and vernacular materials, proportions and details. The resulting scheme satisfied all these criteria with the proposals’ assimilating seamlessly into their context.
