Our brief was to take a landmark building for Salford to pre-planning in an attempt to get a relaxation of the Greengate framework limiting the site to circa 30 stories. The development was to include 500+ residential units, a new public realm, up to 5 stories of mixed use commercial units, residents parking, private roof gardens, residents facilities, winter garden, swimming pool and a bar/restaurant on the top floor

Salford City Council agreed that the ambition, design quality and massing was such that the Greengate framework could be relaxed upon submission of a later formal planning application.
